Under the Environment domain, Deepastambha Charitable Trust runs Conserve To Serve—a citizen-driven environmental project that focuses on natural resource conservation, hands-on tree planting, and multi-year sapling care.

True environmental care starts with protecting our limited natural resources and restoring local green cover. Conserve To Serve brings together citizens, students, and organizations to plant native trees and protect them until they become self-sustaining. Alongside afforestation, the initiative uses practical, high-visibility public nudges and interactive digital outreach to guide communities in reducing water wastage, cutting electricity loss, and conserving fuel in their daily routines.

  • Sustainable Resource Conservation Awareness Campaigns:Impact: Drives behaviour change in day-to-day life through targeted installation—electricity-saving including billing awareness banners at key traffic junctions, placing “Save Water” stickers and reminder posters in hostel bathrooms and dining areas, conducting fuel-saving drives at petrol pumps and traffic signals, and running focused social media campaigns engaging citizens about mindful utility consumption to make conservation habits a lasting, memorable, and measurable.
  • Green Army Tree Plantation and Multi-Year Care:Impact: Mobilises citizens, youth, and corporate teams to plant native saplings on ARAI Tekdi, Pune. Guided by a consistent approach with expert horticulturists and environmentalists, the volunteers form a resilient ecosystem, ensuring watering, mulching, pruning, and protective care, ensuring high sapling survival into mature trees.
